About

James C. Schindler, Esq.

aka The Chicago Law Dog

While I was born just outside of the city of Chicago, I grew up in a small, Colorado mountain town. My babysitter was the mountains. Truly, there is not a childhood memory of mine that does not involve skiing in some fashion. Growing up, my skiing hobby turned competitive and after seventeen years of competition, i am proud to say that I had the unique opportunity to travel the world. From my own back yard, Aspen, Colorado, to places such as: New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, etc.

By the time I reached twenty years old, I was offered an extraordinary opportunity to continue my ski racing career while receiving an outstanding education at the University of Alaska Anchorage. During my four years at UAA, I was a member of the NCAA Division I Ski Team and was named Captain my Senior year.

I graduated from UAA in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice and a Minor in Legal Studies. After college, I decided to pursue a legal career and applied to schools in a city I could call home. Thankfully, the first place that came to mind was Chicago, Illinois.

Ultimately, I graduated from the UIC John Marshall Law School located in the heart of downtown Chicago. While in law school, I was a competitive member of the Moot Court team and worked part-time for various private personal injury firms. More notably though, I met my beautiful wife, Julia Keenan-Schindler, in law school and was lucky enough to marry her in 2019.

Currently, I am a defense attorney with the law firm, Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., with a focus on Workers' Compensation defense.
